New York, September 1, 2005 - The Paid-For Research market in the US is expected to grow to USD 26.9 million by 2009, according to a new Aranca study. Paid-For Research Providers or PIRPs are research providers who produce and publish equity research at the behest of a company, with the intention of attracting potential investors.

Companies that are under-covered or do not enjoy any coverage opt for such research services. These small and micro cap companies - typically listed on Nasdaq, OTC and other exchanges. Aranca found a positive correlation between improved coverage of a company and its stock price. "One of the key negative fallouts of the Global Settlement has been the loss of coverage for a host of small cap companies, thus depriving the investors genuine growth opportunities. PIRPs are an interesting way out for companies that seek more action on their counters," said Hemendra Aran, CEO, Aranca.

The report provides estimates of the current market size besides profiling the leading players. It also analyzes market drivers, key trends, and provides market forecast up to 2009. In addition, the report highlights key regulatory and other compliance related matters.

The report is useful for both PIRPs as well as the companies.
