ARANCA among top 6 offshore financial research service providers: Invest Australia Report
Published on 13 Jan, 2006
New York, January 13, 2006 - Aranca, the Mumbai-based, end-to-end business research provider has been named as one of the top 6 Third-Party Analytics service providers in the "Financial Services KPO industry report" commissioned by Invest Australia, the Australian Government's inward investment agency.
Announcing this development to the media, Mr. Hemendra Aran, CEO-Aranca, said "Of the 19 players that Invest Australia has started off at the beginning of the study, Aranca made to the final list of six providers. It is indeed a major achievement considering Aranca is one of the youngest as well as smallest (in terms of employees) companies in the list."
It may be worth mentioning that this is the first time anywhere in the world that a consulting firm globally has carried out a substantive analysis of the analytics-driven Financial Services KPO sector and sub-sectors. The offshoring or outsourcing (or both) of equity research and some corporate finance functions by investment banks and securities firms is the most established area of the global analytics offshoring industry.
The Invest Australia Report findings will further enhance India's fast gaining reputation as the KPO hub. This is especially good for a young company like Aranca to be featured in the high profile report as it was pitted against some of the big names in the financial research services. Established in 2003, Aranca is in the business of providing end-to-end equity and investment research analytics with Mumbai as its delivery centre. It has offices in New York and London.
"Our unique blend of market knowledge, high quality resources, flexible deployment models, quality assurance standards and cost-efficient offshore have earned us this distinction", opined Mr. Madhusudan Rajagopalan, Head, Aranca India Operations.
Some of the areas that were minutely studied by Invest Australian include:
- Product updates and maintenance: updating of company models for company and sector update reports and updating of valuation models on an on-going basis.
- Support for 'stand alone' thematic reports: preparation of industry studies or cross-industry studies covering topical issues.
- M&A stand alone valuation models: creation and support involved in stand alone valuation models for M&A deals.
- Report and presentation support: preparation of reports, presentation graphics, chart preparation for use in presentations to institutional investors and pitch book type material to corporate clients.
